Hunger Games Series

I recently read the Hunger Games trilogy – Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.  This was a very interesting series, but I found it hard to read because of the terrible things the main characters, Katniss and Peeta are forced to endure during the series.  I found the setting to be very believable; I felt is was loosely based on the United States. With very little imagination, I could imagine some of the things that happened in this book, happening  in our society.  Have you read this series?  If not, I recommend it.  If you have, tell me what you thought of it.

I have read the Hunger Games trilogy too and I also recommend this series of books. It was disturbing at times to read, but like you I can see some of this happening in the future. I am waiting patiently to see the movie. I alsways like to see how close movies come to what I imagine while I read a book.
